Which treatment gives the best value?
The best value is the treatment that actually targets your concern. A cheaper treatment that doesn't suit your skin is money wasted, while a well-planned course often gives better results than booking different treatments at random.
- For an instant glow: dermaplaning or a facial.
- For pigmentation and dullness: a course of chemical peels.
- For scarring, texture and fine lines: a course of microneedling.
- For congested or dehydrated skin: SKINSTORM.
Gina's tip: Start with the free consultation rather than guessing. It's the quickest way to find out which treatment is worth your money and which ones your skin doesn't need.
Why do skin treatment prices vary between salons?
Skin treatment prices vary with the products used, the practitioner's training and the time spent on your skin. Medical-grade brands such as Medik8, specialist serums and advanced devices cost more, but they also tend to give more reliable results. The NHS advises checking a practitioner's training and asking questions before you have a cosmetic procedure, which is just as important as the price.
Booking and deposits
You can book every treatment online through Fresha. Some treatments, such as microneedling, need a deposit, which isn't refundable if you book directly and turn out not to be suitable, so a free consultation first is a good idea if you're unsure.
How do courses work?
Peels, microneedling and SKINSTORM all work best as a course, because results build with each session. The SKINSTORM course of six is our main course price. For other treatments, we'll plan how many sessions you need and how far apart they should be at your consultation. The American Academy of Dermatology's chemical peel guidance explains why preparation and spacing matter.
